- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I took my elderly dog here with breathing difficulties. The initial consultation was by a very inexperienced vet who denied her antibiotics despite me requesting them. A few hours later we had to rush back and they diagnosed pneumonia. She was in for 2 night's at a total cost of £700. The vet that finally diagnosed the pneumonia was great but I feel it's far too money orientated. I've heard that from more people around my area too. I made a complaint but the lack of sincerity shone through. Take your pet elsewhere. There are far better and more dedicated vets out there. This place is owned by a huge company that have their fingers in so many pies. they're definitely not the local friendly family vets that they try to promote. My dog almost died through negligence. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪i have been attending Alba with my cat Coco for several years now, and am deeply grateful to all the staff there for their kindness and support. Last year (2014) Coco had to have a serious operation on his ear, which although successful, required a lot of follow up care and nursing. My own health was very poor at the time and Albavet were extremely helpful and kind, boarding Coco and taking care of him when it all got too much for me. He became quite a celebrity at the surgery and I was confident that everyone there was doing their best to pull him through his recovery.
